White Co. woman injured in fatal motorcycle wreck

LONOKE COUNTY, AR
(KAIT) – A woman from Beebe was injured during a fatal wreck in Lonoke County.

According to
Arkansas State Police, Natasha Riddle was the passenger on a Yamaha R6
motorcycle when the crash happened Wednesday morning on New Country Road and
Evergreen Park.

Police state the
driver Dusty Ray Abshure, 26, of Austin, Arkansas was killed after the
motorcycle crossed the center line, left the road and hit a tree.

Abshure was
pronounced dead at the scene. Riddle was taken to a Little Rock hospital.

Oxford Baptist hosting Biker's Sunday this weekend

Oxford Baptist Church will hold its 16th annual Biker's Sunday on June 9.

Participants are asked to meet at Salem City Park at 9:30 a.m.  The ride will start at 10:30 a.m.

Brother Warner Allen will deliver the message and a potluck lunch will be served following the ride.

A trip to Batesville really paid off for a Randolph County woman.

Jennifer Crismon of Pocahontas won $5,000 in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

She bought the $10 “Fast $5,000” ticket at T Mart #9, 2350 E. Main St. in Batesville.

Police find missing Independence County elderly woman

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – The Independence County Sheriff's Department says they have found a missing elderly woman safe and sound.

According to the sheriff's department, 79-year-old Katie Hickerson was found driving down Highway 14 in Oil Trough. 

She told police she was simply driving around. 

Police were alerted because she was last seen around Noon in the Newark area.
