LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/AP) -  Power has recently been restored to the Blytheville and Gosnell area as well as most of the Reigon 8 viewing area.

Power outages were reported in Jackson, Independence, Sharp, Mississippi, Stone and White Counties, according to Entergy Arkansas.

The utility company said the largest current outages in northeast Arkansas were in the Blytheville and Gosnell area with more than 2,000 people without power. More than 1,900 customers were without power in Cherokee Village Friday morning. And, more than 1,000 people were in the dark in Newport.

Some very minor damage was reported in northern Independence County, where a tree was knocked down.

Entergy Arkansas says more than 10,000 of its customers are without electricity because of Isaac.

The utility said Pulaski County had the highest number of outages Friday morning at more than 3,400. That's followed by Jefferson and Dallas counties, which each had more than 1,000 customers without power.

The utility had reported more than 16,000 customers without electricity earlier Friday.

The remnants of Hurricane Isaac are slowly crossing the state. Forecasters say more rain is possible as Isaac heads into Missouri.

Entergy - which serves customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas - says Isaac has been the utility's fourth-largest storm in terms of power outages.
