Girl airlifted to Children's Hospital after being shot in head | News
A Region 8 child was flown to a Little Rock hospital after investigators say she was shot in the head by her brother.
On Wednesday, July 4, Independence County sheriff’s deputies were called to White River Medical Center in Batesville concerning a child shot in the back of the head with a "pump-up BB gun."
Investigators say the child’s brother “accidentally pointed the gun over the couch and shot the other child in the head.”
According to Sheriff Steve Jeffery, the BB apparently penetrated the girl’s skull and lodged in her brain.
She was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Little RockGirl for treatment.
