Motorcycle wrecks keep ASP busy | News
Friday afternoon two motorcycle crashes within miles and minutes of each other kept Arkansas State Police (ASP) busy.
The first crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. on State Highway 341, 1.5 miles north of State Highway 14.
According to ASP, William C. Parsons, 39, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was traveling north when he lost control of his 2001 Triumph Sprint RS on a curve. Parsons was thrown from the motorcycle when it left the road and overturned.
He was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home with unspecified injuries.
Forty-two minutes later and nine miles further up the highway, 18-year-old Justin S. Clark of Flower Mound, Texas, crashed his motorcycle.
According to the report, Clark was traveling north on Highway 341, about 10.2 miles north of Highway 14, when he lost control of his 2004 Triumph Speed 4 on a curve. Like Parsons, Clark was thrown from the motorcycle when it left the road.
He was also taken to Baxter County Regional Medical Center.
According to ASP, both men were charged with careless driving.
