Two women killed in separate crashes | News
Two women died in separate crashes in Your Region 8 within the last 24 hours.
Bridget Frost, 38, of Mountain Home died just before 2:30 a.m. Friday on State Highway 5 North at Mitchell’s Variety Store.
According to Corporal Jackie R. Stinnett of the Arkansas State Police, Frost was southbound when she failed to negotiate a right-hand curve.
Her Mercury Mountaineer traveled off the right side of the road and struck a culvert and a concrete driveway.
On Thursday afternoon Christine C. Richardson was killed when she was thrown from her vehicle.
The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. three miles north of Viola on Pickren Hall Road.
According to Corporal Ronnie D. Stewart’s crash report, Richardson was traveling south when she lost control of her 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara on a curve.
The SUV left the roadway, became airborne and overturned in a ditch, striking a fence.
Richardson was partially ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Deputy Coroner Matthew Miller.
Richardson’s three-year-old passenger, Olivia G. Wright, was not injured.
The Viola Fire Department and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department assisted ASP at the crash.
