Laura Knox named ASUMH's top faculty member by peers | News
Laura Knox, education instructor at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home was recently selected Faculty Member of the Year by her peers.
After graduating Mountain Home High School, Knox attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations.
She was employed by the University of Nebraska-Wesleyan before moving to Denver where she earned her master’s certification in elementary education K-6 at the University of Colorado-Denver.
In 1994 Knox returned to Arkansas and began teaching for the Mountain Home public schools. During that time she also earned a master of science in education administration degree from Arkansas State University-Jonesboro.
Knox began teaching at ASUMH as an adjunct in 2005 and became a full-time faculty member in 2010.
She has been married to Arnold Knox for 13 years. They have two children: Billy, 11, and Steven, 9.
In her spare time she enjoys golfing and boating with her family.
