Woman charged with passing forged checks | Crime
A Mountain Home woman faces theft charges after investigators say she passed several forged checks.
On Thursday evening 26-year-old Victoria N. Moser surrendered herself at the Baxter County Detention Center on an outstanding arrest warrant.
According to Sheriff John Montgomery, on September 14 a man reported several blank personal checks were missing. Six days later the victim told deputies three of the checks, totaling $400.47, had been forged and passed to North Arkansas Electric, Suddenlink and McDonald’s.
Moser was developed as a suspect and a warrant was obtained for her arrest, Montgomery said.
Moser is charged with three felony counts of forgery and a misdemeanor theft of property charge. She is currently being held in lieu of a $15,400 bond awaiting an appearance in Circuit Court on October 4.
