Man charged with woman's murder | Crime

On April 20, Donna Kennedy was found dead with a gunshot wound to her head at a home on Cut Off Road, outside of Searcy.

According to Corporal Steve Hernandez of the White County Sheriff’s Department, 48-year-old Charles Scott Berry told deputies Kennedy had shot herself.

On July 10, following an extensive investigation including several interviews, Berry was charged with second-degree murder.

He is being held at the White County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bond.  Berry is scheduled to appear in court on September 4.
