Woman arrested visiting husband in jail | Crime

A woman visiting her husband in jail also wound up behind bars.

According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence, 26-year-old Rebecca Diane Wray of Oxford was arrested Sunday afternoon when she went to the Izard County Detention Facility to visit her husband, who is an inmate.

What Wray apparently didn’t know is that the names of all visitors to the jail are run through the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) database to determine if they have any warrants.

Wray did, according to Sheriff Lawrence.

She was arrested on an outstanding “Failure to Appear” warrant from Baxter County.  She was transported to the jail in Mountain Home where she was released after posting $565 bond.
