Three arrested in drinking and boating incident | Crime
A Wheatley man was arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after investigators say they spotted him drinking on a boat.
Three men, including two from Jonesboro, were arrested Saturday after Army Corps of Engineers rangers reportedly spotted them drinking and boating.
According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, a deputy arrested Jerrod W. Haynes, 27, of Wheatley on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Also arrested were Clinton W. Pigue, 19, and Brody S. Elder, 20, both of Jonesboro. They were charged with being minors in possession of alcohol.
The arrests came after park rangers reported seeing Haynes “consuming alcohol” while driving a boat on Lake Norfork.
The three men were taken to the Baxter County Detention Center where they were released after posting bond. All three are due in District Court on July 12.
