According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, at approximately 12:45 a.m. deputies were called to a home on Country Life Place in Midway.
While en route to the scene, investigators were informed the man who had fired a shotgun during the altercation had left in a white Chevy Impala.
A deputy spotted the car heading south on State Highway 5 near Mountain Home and pulled it over with the assistance of an Arkansas State Police trooper and a Mountain Home police officer.
According to the sheriff's report, the driver was 21-year-old Gavin Willis Stutts of Gamaliel. Inside the car, officers reportedly found a shotgun with a spent cartridge in the chamber. They also reported finding a small amount of marijuana, 31 Xanax pills and a smoking pipe.
