Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery has a warning for residents:  lock your car doors!

Investigators say sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, crooks stole items from vehicles at three homes on Baxter County Road 424 near Mountain Home.

All of the vehicles had been left unlocked, deputies say.

According to the sheriff's report, among the items stolen were:

  • A woman's coat
  • Two boxes of handgun ammunition
  • A box of rifle ammunition
  • DVDs
  • A set of keys

There are currently no suspects.

Sheriff Montgomery reminds people "not to volunteer to be a victim" and keep all doors locked on your home and cars.
