Man facing DWI, assault charges following crash | Crime
A Mountain Home man was charged with driving while intoxicated Tuesday night following a crash that sent him and two others to the hospital.
The crash happened at 7 p.m. on Highway 142, four miles east of Bakersfield in Howell County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Gary Klosterhoff, 43, was westbound when his 1999 GMC Jimmy travelled off the right side of the road and overturned.
He was flown by Air Evac to Ozark Medical Center in West Plains with moderate injuries.
His passengers, 39-year-old Steven M. Flazell and 37-year-old Summer M. Obermyer of Mountain Home, were both taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
Klosterhoff was charged with DWI, two counts of felony second-degree assault, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance, and felony leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
