Man, teens arrested in gun store burglary | Crime
Investigators have charged a 13-year-old boy with commercial burglary in connection with a gun store break-in earlier this week.
Around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday Searcy police responded to an alarm at Ultimate Outdoors, 608 S. Main.
According to investigators, someone broke out the store’s front window and stole 20 handguns and a laptop.
On Thursday, officers arrested 30-year-old Darnell Trevon Waters and two juveniles at an apartment in the 200-block of South Oak.
One of the suspects, a 13-year-old boy, was charged with commercial burglary, theft of property and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
The other juvenile suspect, a 17-year-old male, was charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Both teens are being held at the Juvenile Detention Facility in Batesville.
Waters was charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Both are Class C felonies.
Detectives were able to recover 7 of the 20 stolen guns.
