Woman accused of stealing, forging checks | Crime
A woman faces forgery charges after investigators say she stole a checkbook and wrote $1,850 worth of bogus checks.
Jessica Ruth Whitson, 24, of Mountain Home was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of forgery, according to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery.
She’s accused of stealing another woman’s checkbook and forging several checks.
Evidence indicated at least three of the stolen checks totaled $1,850, Montgomery said.
Whitson is currently free on $5,000 bond.
