Police arrest man suspected of multiple break-ins | Crime
A man suspected in at least six burglaries in the Cherokee Village area is now behind bars.
Kevin R. Biggers, 31, is charged with residential burglary and theft of property.
Rickey Crook, Cherokee Village police chief, told Region 8 News Biggers is suspected in six break-ins, including one on June 10.
According to court records, Biggers and Chantel Branam stole several items of jewelry, including two sapphire rings, from a woman’s home.
Later that same day investigators say Biggers sold the jewelry at a pawn shop in West Plains, MO.
On June 18 officers interviewed Branam, who confessed to breaking into the house with Biggers, according to the affidavit.
The following day Chief Crook presented the information to District Court Judge Mark Johnson who issued a warrant for Biggers’ arrest.
