Traffic stop leads to big meth bust | Crime
A Searcy man was arrested Friday after police say they found more than $13,000 worth of meth in his car.
Adam Manor, 27, was charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance with purpose to deliver (methamphetamine), driving on a suspended license, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
According to a news release from Officer Steve Hernandez of the Searcy Police Department, Patrolman Todd Dewitt stopped Manor for running a stop sign on Pleasure Street at Lucy Street.
During a search of Manor’s vehicle Dewitt reportedly found 133 grams of methamphetamine in the form of Ice, valued at $13,3000. The officer also found an SKS rifle in Manor’s car.
Manor was taken to the White County Detention Center where he was later released on $50,000 bond.
The Central Arkansas Drug Task Force assisted Searcy police in the arrest.
