Sheriff: Inmate faces felony charge after biting jailer | Crime
A Baxter County Jail inmate has been charged with a felony after investigators say he bit a jailer.
Bradley Travis Edmonston, 22, of Mountain Home was in the recreation yard when jailers began a search of his cell, according to an email from Sheriff John Montgomery.
Edmonston became upset and began to cause a disturbance, Montgomery reported.
When jailers ordered him back inside for lock down, Montgomery says Edmonston “refused to comply” and began to struggle then bit a jailer on the forearm.
Montgomery said the officers used pepper spray to subdue him.
Edmonston, who was serving time for several misdemeanor convictions including resisting arrest, now faces felony aggravated assault on an officer.
