UPDATE: Second suspect arrested in burglary investigation | Crime
A man wanted in the beating and robbery of a sleeping man is now behind bars.
Christian Blake Sisk, 21, of rural Mountain Home was arrested Sunday on an outstanding bench warrant.
According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Sisk was wanted in connection with a burglary on Old Military Road on March 21.
Investigators say Sisk and Jacob Edward Caple, 21, of Lakeview forced their way into the home then beat and robbed the owner who was asleep at the time.
Sheriff Montgomery said the victim suffered “serious physical injuries” and was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center and later to another medical facility.
Caple was arrested the following day on a shoplifting charge. At the time of his arrest, deputies said they found a pistol that had been taken in the robbery. Some of the other stolen items were found inside his vehicle, Montgomery said.
Caple was charged with battery in the second degree, residential burglary, theft of property-firearm and theft of property. He is being held in lieu of $25,000 awaiting a Circuit Court appearance on April 25.
Sisk is also charged with residential burglary, revocation, failure to appear, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on May 2.
