Couple accused of passing forged checks | Crime
An ongoing investigation led to the arrest Saturday of two people on check forging charges.
John Darrin Croslin, 45, of Cave City and Carrie Mae Stanley, 26, of Paragould are both charged with forgery-second degree, a Class C felony.
They’re accused of forging two checks on the account of a Melbourne woman.
According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence, the couple was arrested Saturday night by Independence County authorities and transported to the Izard County Detention Facility.
At the time of her arrest, Lawrence said Stanley was “under the influence of an unidentified drug.”
The sheriff said the Croslin and Stanley, along with some others, are the subjects of an ongoing investigation by his department.
The two are currently free on bond.
