Pay attention in school crosswalks | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Monday marked the first day of school for many children in Your Region 8.
More kids on the streets means more chances something tragic could happen.
The Searcy Police Department urges you to drive carefully through school zones, especially when kids are arriving and leaving school.
When approaching a crosswalk, be prepared to stop.
Also, teach your children to use crosswalks. This is especially important on busy streets, such as Maple near Searcy-McRae Elementary and Race near Ahlf Junior High.
These are simple suggestions but they can make Searcy a safer community.
