ABC Board fines 2 local businesses, grants permits to 2 more | Business
During its regular monthly meeting last week in Little Rock, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board found two Region 8 businesses in violation of their permits and approved licenses for two more.
The owners of Fox Creek BBQ Restaurant, 129 Lawrence St. in Batesville, were fined $350 and placed on 90 day probation after the ABC Board said the restaurant furnished alcoholic beverages to a minor.
Saxton-Willis Post #64 American Legion, 49 Park Rd. in Heber Springs, was fined $200 and placed on 60 day probation for serving alcoholic beverages to an intoxicated patron.
Both businesses have until September 10 to pay the fines or their permits will be suspended.
In other business, the board approved a new Beer Off Premises license for Dollar General Store #9255, 1797 Hwy. 62 and 412 in Highland. According to the board minutes, there were no objections from local officials.
The board also granted a new Small Farm Wine-Retail license to Snappy Mart Truck Plaza, 700 Hwy. 64 East in Wynne after receiving no objections from public officials.
Meanwhile, Flash Market #43, Highway 167 North in Cave City, applied for a Small Farm Winery-Retail license.
