Homecoming to feature car, cycle and antique tractor show

 

Have an antique car, truck or tractor you’ve spent time and effort rebuilding? On Saturday, May 25, you’re invited to show off your hard work.

The Fulton County Homecoming Car, Cycle and Antique Tractor Show will be held during the 64th Annual Homecoming Festival in Salem.

The show, sponsored by Hill’s Auto Sales, will start at 10 a.m. in the North Arkansas Electric Cooperative’s south parking lot located on Highway 62/412.

Ash Flat Library is experiencing growing pains.

To alleviate the growing number of selections available to patrons, the library plans to install additional shelving units.

Women considering BRCA gene testing after Jolie's surgery

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Angelina Jolie announced that she recently
had a double mastectomy.

The actress says the preventive surgery came after learning
she has a BRCA 1 gene mutation that raised   her risk of developing breast cancer.

Jolie’s decision to get tested for the mutation has made
many women wonder if they should, too.

Before they do, a local doctor says there are a number of

Police say that’s what a Cave City man did recently and he wound up facing even more charges.

On Sunday afternoon Chief Nathan Stephens answered a call at JB’s Tobacco regarding a theft that had occurred the day before.

Company applies for license to make liquor

 

Instead of selling liquor in Baxter County, one company wants to make it.

White River Distillery, Inc. submitted an application last week to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board for a liquor manufacturing/distilling license.

The distillery would be located at 150 Nancy St. in Gassville.

According to the Secretary of State’s office, White River Distillery is based out of West Memphis.  Gary E. Taylor is the company president.
