Can you “lick the lizard?”

You’ll get a chance to find out at the biannual Run Lizard Creek endurance run set for Saturday, June 1.

The 8K obstacle challenge, which features 30 obstacles, will benefit Relay for Life.

The cost to register is $55 before the event and $65 on the day of the run.  To register online, click here.  The race will start at 9 a.m.

According to Sharp County Judge Larry Brown, the Sharp County courthouse will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

A two-month-old baby’s body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office for autopsy.

According to Independence County Sheriff Steve Jeffery, officers were called to a Batesville home at 6 a.m. Friday regarding an unresponsive infant.

When officers arrived, Jeffery said they found the child on a couch in the living room.

The mother reportedly told investigators the child had been asleep in the bed with her and another child.

When the mother awoke, she reportedly found the child “unresponsive.”

ASP urges everyone to "Click It or Ticket" this Memorial Day

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is less than two weeks away.

Whether you’re headed to the lake or just across town, the Arkansas State Police Highway Safety Office urges you to buckle up.

Beginning Monday, May 20, state, county and city law enforcement officers will be cracking down on motorists who are not using seat belts as part of the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

Colonel Stan Witt, director of the ASP and Governor’s Highway Safety representative, urges everyone to “buckle up on every trip, every time, both day and night—no excuses.”

Do you have Powerball fever yet?

You might once you find out how much you could win.

According to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is expected to reach a record $600 million.

The previous record was $587 million won on November 28, 2012.

All you have to do is match the five white ball numbers (1-59) and the red Powerball number (1-35).

The drawing will be held at 9:59 p.m. CST Saturday.
